The Clustered Vine – Songs of Love, Loss, & Remembrance is a new work for mezzo-soprano and orchestra. It was commissioned by the Grand Teton Music Festival and it will have its world-première there on August 11 & 12 of 2023 with mezzo Kelley O’Connor and conductor Sir Donald Runnicles. The work is completed and is in the formatting and part preparation phase.
Strange Sea for orchestra was commissioned and by conductor Robert Tervino and the Malmö Symphony Orchestra, both of whom premiered it in October of 2022. I’ve made some minimal revisions, and edits to the score and parts and am now preparing it for publication (hopefully by late April). You may listen to that performance here.
Vigilando is a work for a cappella chorus that was commissioned by the Peabody Institute. After a long delay this work is also being prepared for publication and you may hear it here. I hope to have this ready by late-April as well.
This summer I will begin work on a violin duo, a work for chorus and string orchestra, and some music for string quartet.
